Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Embedded Systems Team Leader to drive the development of cutting-edge embedded solutions. This role involves leading a team of engineers working on firmware, hardware, and communication protocols for IoT and embedded products. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Wi-Fi, Matter, Zigbee, and Thread and a deep understanding of embedded software and hardware development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of embedded engineers, providing technical direction and project guidance.
- Oversee the design, development, and optimization of firmware and hardware for embedded systems.
- Architect and implement communication protocols including Wi-Fi, Matter, Zigbee, and Thread to ensure seamless connectivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and product management, to define requirements and system architecture.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, certifications, and security best practices for embedded devices.
- Drive testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of embedded systems to improve performance and reliability.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in embedded technologies and connectivity protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 7 years of experience in embedded systems development, with 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of C, C , RTOS, and microcontroller architectures.
- Hands-on experience with wireless communication protocols such as Wi-Fi, Matter, Zigbee, and Thread.
- Proficiency in firmware development, debugging tools, and hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, etc.).
- Experience with embedded security best practices and over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates.
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with low-power embedded design and battery-operated devices.
- Familiarity with IoT platforms and cloud integration.
- Knowledge of Linux-based embedded systems and scripting (Python, Bash).
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control (Git, Jira, etc.).
