The Logistics Engineering Manager role is a pivotal position within our Logistics team, responsible for leading a team of engineers to achieve top-tier performance. - Lead, mentor and empower a diverse team to foster a safe, supportive and inclusive work environment.
- Foster a high-performance culture and collaborative team environment, through effective performance management while balancing productivity and cost considerations.
- Identify ergonomic and safety concerns and collaborate to eliminate or mitigate the issues.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts.
- Support the creation, approval and implementation of capital projects.
- Support project launches.
- Optimize material flow in the distribution center.
- Collaborate with Central Transformation Team to plan and implement Transformation projects aimed at automating and optimizing the Distribution Center.
- Identify constraints to achieving goals and collaborate to find and support effective solutions.
- Measure and analyze warehouse performance (cost and service) and implement corrective actions.
- Develop a forward-thinking, high-performance Engineering team, leveraging digital solutions including AI and Machine Learning to automate processes and establish controls.
- Utilize Quality and SPS tools for problem-solving and project work.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma skills and lead Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to address complex process opportunities with simple solutions.
- Tactical execution of automation design and implementation
- Implementation of AGVs, AMRs, etc.
- Execute productivity enhancements through Kaizen, engineering projects and automation What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Bachelor of Science, preferably within an Engineering-based discipline (Industrial, Mechanical), or related fields based on experience.
- 5-10 years of relevant work experience.
- Prior experience in Value Stream analysis, Lean concepts, and root cause analysis.
- Commitment to driving process and culture change in a mature and inclusive organization.
- Experience in developing and implementing automated solutions (AGV, pick modules, Exotec, etc.) is a plus.
- Ability to lead with compassion, great communication and inter-personal skills, as well as robust project management skills.
