Job Summary: Schneider Electric is seeking to hire a proactive and detail-oriented Government Grants Manager to identify, pursue, and manage government grant opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in grant writing and a deep understanding of funding processes to support our organization’s goals and projects.  In addition, the candidate must be experienced with ensuring compliance with government regulations and guidelines while managing relationships with stakeholders.

 

For this STATE based position, the expected compensation range is $136 000 - $204 000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify potential government grant opportunities aligned with the organization’s mission and objectives.
  • Familiarity with key federal agencies, programs, and funding mechanisms (e.g., USASpending.gov, Grants.gov, RFI processes, NOFOs).
  • Strong knowledge of federal grant application processes (e.g., DOE, NSF, ARPA-E, DoD).
  • Prepare, write, and submit grant proposals, ensuring compliance with all requirements and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to facilitate grant activities.
  • Develop and maintain a calendar of grant opportunities and deadlines.
  • Monitor and track the status of submitted grants providing updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with government agencies and funding organizations.
  • Provide training and support to staff on grant writing and funding opportunities.
  • Conduct training and provide guidance on grant management best practices.
  • Analyze grant performance and prepare reports on outcomes and financial compliance.
  • Manage the lifecycle of government grants and contracts from proposal to execution.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines, reporting requirements, and regulations (including but not limited to FAR, OMB circulars, IP requirements).
  • Monitor budget expenditures and financial reporting to ensure adherence to grant terms.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to grants and contracts

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 8 years of experience in grant management or contract administration, preferably with government entities.
  • Strong understanding of government grant regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in grant management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
