Schneider Electric is seeking a skilled HVAC Building Automation Specialist to join our team in the Secaucus area. As an essential member of our operations, you will work closely with Field Service Supervisors and Managers to ensure seamless execution of building automation and security management systems.
This position requires at least 2 years of experience in HVAC and building automation, constructing low-voltage electrical systems, and possessing industry knowledge. The ideal candidate will possess excellent project management skills, including understanding specifications, standards, budgets, schedules, and safety protocols.
The role involves on-site service activities related to the coordination, installation, and commissioning of building automation and security management systems. You must be capable of working independently or collaboratively with other team members under daily supervision.
Responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving software issues on installed building automation and energy management systems.
- Performing preventative maintenance on installed building automation and energy management systems, including implementing software patches and updating antivirus solutions.
- Coding software using multiple languages in various environments as necessary, adhering to high-quality coding and testing practices.
- Suggesting system improvements, modifications, and enhancements.
- Assisting with the commissioning and startup of new building automation and energy management systems to ensure proper operation.
- Streamlining and developing software code, graphics, and drivers for graphic front-end human-machine interfaces.
- Working independently with minimal supervision to complete all job tasks.
- Supporting third-party commissioning agents in the commissioning process and communicating deficiencies to the project team.
- Assisting with network troubleshooting and analysis by running packet captures for software engineers/product support.
