What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Coordinator Team Lead position at Schneider Electric?
- Will perform complex and diverse clerical duties in accordance with established procedures, requiring specific training or experience in a particular department or area.
- Coach employees regarding their Safety, Quality and Productivity.
- Knowledge of logistics processes, internal systems, and operational requirements.
- Executes daily transportation and customs operations according to defined transportation operating plans.
- Will have daily correspondence with clients, receive and confirm shipping documents received are in compliance with requirements.
- Responsibilities will include data entry, will produce shipping documents, coordinate cargo availability and arrange pickup /delivery, finalize billing. Distribute shipping documents as required
- Coordinates and communicates with other Team Leads, Supervisors, and Managers to ensure areas are running as required.
- Lead SIM 1, address and communicate barriers.
- Must be able to have a flexible work schedule. Lead overtime shifts as necessary. Position requires periodic overtime on a short notice to meet customer service demands.
- Perform any other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in logistics, a warehouse/distribution center environment or related experience and/or training.
- Knowledge or capability to effectively use and quickly learn various manufacturing computer systems and Microsoft Office applications. Excel, Manhattan, SAP, Data Entry, Filing.
- Communicate (both verbal and written) clearly, effectively and professionally in English with all associates, as they will be dealing with customers in addition to mid and upper-level management.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment including rapidly identifying problems and developing and implementing appropriate solutions
- Must be highly motivated and self-directed with ability to work in a team environment
