Role Overview:
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for leading problem-solving initiatives, implementing corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement in our manufacturing operations. This role requires a strong passion for quality and a drive to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead problem-solving initiatives to address internal and external customer concerns
• Develop and implement process control plans, poka-yoke opportunities, and PFMEA to ensure quality excellence
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes
• Support Short Interval Management and demonstrate leadership, responsiveness, and excellent communication skills
• Interface with external customers regarding product concerns and implement corrective actions
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Electronic) or related field
• Experience with manufacturing quality, manufacturing engineering, and/or equivalent
• Experience with 8D problem-solving methodology, tool utilization (i.e., 5Why, fishbone (cause and effect), etc.)
• Six Sigma knowledge, experience, certification highly desired
• Demonstrated analytical skills with data, problem resolution, project management
• Excellent skills in leadership, communication (both verbal and written) and attention to detail
• Excellent computer systems skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.
• Strong desire to work with people, on the manufacturing floor and with customer interface, excellent follow-up and execution skills
