Procurement Intern

Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for a Procurement Intern in our Smyrna/Mount Juliet, TN facility starting now. This position is part-time and on-site, so the ideal candidate must be located in the general area. No visa sponsorship or relocation will be provided for this role.

What do you get to do in this position? 

Assist with implementing the general Purchasing Strategy to drive cost reduction initiatives within the cluster. 

• Maintain purchasing database by regularly updating relevant data. 

• Support main functions or projects within the Procurement team.  

• Assist in commodity management strategy for supplier consultation, selection, negotiation, and contract management with local/specific suppliers. 

• Assist in leading activities related to supply qualification system in the plant as per defined responsibility matrix. 

This job might be for you if you have: 
 
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's (or Masters) degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or equivalent is required. 

• An interest in Procurement or Supply Chain  

• Proficiency in cross-functional team collaboration 

• Strong problem analysis & communication skills 

• Data & analysis skills 

• Willingness to gain experience in new areas
