Procurement Internship

Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for a Procurement Intern in our El Paso, TX, facility. This position is on-site, so the ideal candidate must be located in the general area. To be eligible for an internship with Schneider Electric, you must be enrolled in a academic program.

What do you get to do in this position? 

• Assist with implementing the general Purchasing Strategy to drive cost reduction initiatives within the cluster.
• Assemble presentations for the Procurement team 
• Schedule meetings or conduct meeting minutes 
• Maintain purchasing database by regularly updating relevant data.
• Support main functions or projects within the Procurement team.
• Assist in leading activities related to supply qualification system in the plant as per defined responsibility matrix.

This job might be for you if you have:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's (or Masters) degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or equivalent is required.
• Experienced with Excel and Microsoft 
• Strong written communication & verbal skills
• Strong presentation skills 
• An interest in Procurement or Supply Chain 
• Proficiency in cross-functional team collaboration
• Strong problem analysis & communication skills
• Willingness to gain experience in new areas
