Overview
The Project Engineer is responsible for understanding and meeting the technical requirements of a project, creating technical documentation for building modular data center solutions, and ensuring adherence to customer specifications, schedules, and quality standards. They work closely with project managers, technical leaders, and subject matter experts, providing support to factory personnel and maintaining technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the project files to ensure thorough technical documentation.
- Revise and approve fabrication drawings.
- Perform change management for design documents and customer submittals.
- Manage engineering work schedules and assign tasks to designers and subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Prepare all final documentation for the project including: AsBuilt drawings, certificates, Operation and Maintenance documents, Spare Part lists, etc.

Education
B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (ABET accredited preferred)
Preferred Experience
- Data Center critical infrastructure knowledge (Power, Cooling, Monitoring)
- Building or industrial installations (Cabling, lighting, piping, plumbing)
- Experience working in REVIT at least 1 year.
- Functional knowledge using Autodesk REVIT, Autodesk Construction Cloud, AutoCAD 2D and Bluebeam.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical details to various project stakeholders in clear verbal and written form.
- Strong systems mindset and eagerness to learn how all elements of the system work together to develop the overall solution.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and team members with various skillsets and varying levels of experience.
- Desire to innovate and optimize designs in compliance with relevant regulatory codes, standards, and best practices.
- Ability to coordinate project documentation from various disciplines to meet customer requirements and production constraints.
