This on-site position requires the ideal candidate to be located in the general area.

As a Safety, Health & Environment Intern, you will participate in the following responsibilities:

  •  Job Hazard Analysis
  • Assist in the digitization of safety procedures by reviewing, updating, and implementing digital formats to enhance accessibility and compliance, ensuring all safety protocols are current, easily understandable, and effectively communicated across the organization.
  • Environmental Health and Safety program review
  • Collaborate in the development of protocols for all SH&E programs and systems to ensure a safe and clean environment 
  • Provide onsite safety support and perform day-to-day safety activities (badge creation for new hires, new hire safety orientation, complete safety PSO for projects, etc.)
  • Investigate and track accidents, and establish methods to correct and eliminate unsafe practices and conditions; partner with managers to monitor and ensure follow-up on safety, health and environmental action plans and communications with supervisory employees
  •  Alert and Support in case of emergency, in compliance with internal procedures
  • Improve H&S skills of employees and could take in charge trainings activities, communication campaigns, teamwork

This position may be a good fit for you if:

  • Working towards a Occupational Health Degree, Engineering, or Safety & Environmental Degree
  • Junior or Senior standing or enrolled in a Master's Program 
  • Have experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Have experience with data analytics
