Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Scrum Master to join our growing team, who can lead by example. He/she will be a professional who stays abreast of developments within the Agile Community, can relate them to Project Management industry standards and adapt them to Client internal PMO needs. While he/she understands the theory (Kanban, Scrum, Less, Lean, etc.), he/she is at heart a practitioner confidently launching new teams and aiding existing teams so they may cultivate a truly agile mindset.
Duties and responsibilities
- Build and enable enduring Agile teams to execute on goals by providing tools, training, and support to help escalate and remove impediments
- Lead, train, and coach a scrum team on using Agile methodology and Scrum practices.
- Support the product owner and provide education where needed
- Own Scrum/Kanban ceremonies and metrics
- Establish and lead the scrum and Kanban teams in self-organization, establishing norms, agreements, and cadence
- Remove impediments and coach the scrum team on removing impediments
- Help the product owner and development team to achieve customer satisfaction
- Help the scrum teams achieve delivery acceleration focused on business outcomes by reaching higher levels of scrum maturity
- Leverage expertise to inspire shared sense of purpose within the team by focusing on the goals and method of execution
- Encourage innovative ideas to help address new challenges and drive business results
- Potentially engage with 2 teams concurrently
- 4 years of proven work experience in software development / testing / software project management
- Scrum master, Advanced Scrum Master or Release Train Engineer certification is a plus
- Bachelors Engineering degree in Computer Science or relevant field
- Strong knowledge of agile methodologies / frameworks – Scrum, Kanban
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Good knowledge of software development process
- Attention to detail, team-player mindset, positive attitude are key to thrive in this role
- Scrum, Design Thinking certification preferred, but not required.
- Ability to analyze and think quickly and to resolve conflict
- Knowledgeable in various frameworks (Kanban, Scrum, Lean, S&S, LeSS, SAFe, Spotify, etc.)
- Experience with successful Agile techniques
- Ability to work with and lead a team
- Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment
- Experience and knowledge in MS Office applications, MS Teams, SharePoint, JIRA, Confluence, Collaborate, VISIO, Adobe Acrobat Professional
