What are the responsibilities and job description for the Solution Purchaser position at Schneider Electric?
Location: West Chester, Ohio- onsite
What will you do?
Provide support in tendering phase thru execution phase to improve hit rate and Gross Margin. Implementing solution processess and tools to select the best supplier and identify/mitigate risks.
Tendering:
- Analyze Customer requirements
- Invite innovative supplier to solution design
- Highlight showstopper & imposed suppliers
- Estimate project purchasing budget
- Identify supplies & assess potential suppliers
- Manage requests for information / quotation & negotiate
- Contribute to risk analysis
- Mitigate risk and pre-identify opportunities
- Measure purchasing performance
- Anticipate the T&C’s with critical suppliers
- Analyze exposure between tender and customer contract
- Update risk mitigation plan
- Update Purchasing tools
- Define suppliers / commodities criticality
- Mitigate critical risks with action plans
- Complete supplier Qualification
- Manage change of scope & Renegotiate
- Initialize Contract and Claim Management
- Sign Purchasing/ Project Internal Contract
- Finalize technical, logistic, schedules
- Sign Purchasing Orders
- Perform Contract and Claim management
- Follow supplier performance, anticipate & react
- Check delivery & payment
- Settle supplier claims
- Participate to project REX
- Perform supplier evaluation
- NAM Project & Services Supply Chain Director
- Degree in Engineering, International Trade, or related
- Fluent in English
- 3 years experience in Purchasing
- Experience in contract negotiations and risk mitigation
- Strong presentation, communication and negotiation skills, effective in a cross cultural environment to foster collaboration
- Ability to influence & convince in a complex matrix organisation
