Job Description
At Schneider Electric, we are seeking a highly skilled Solution Purchaser to join our Secure Power Division.
This role will be responsible for providing support throughout the tendering and execution phases to improve hit rates and gross margin. The ideal candidate will have experience in implementing solution processes and tools to select the best supplier and identify/mitigate risks.
Tendering Phase:
- Analyze customer requirements
- Invite innovative suppliers to solution design
- Highlight showstoppers and imposed suppliers
- Estimate project purchasing budgets
- Identify supplies and assess potential suppliers
- Manage requests for information/quotation and negotiate
- Contribute to risk analysis
- Mitigate risk and pre-identify opportunities
- Measure purchasing performance
- Anticipate terms and conditions with critical suppliers
- Analyze exposure between tender and customer contract
- Update risk mitigation plans
- Update purchasing tools
Execution Phase:
- Define suppliers/commodities criticality
- Mitigate critical risks with action plans
- Complete supplier qualification
- Manage change of scope and renegotiate
- Initialize contract and claim management
- Sign purchasing/project internal contracts
- Finalize technical, logistics, schedules
- Sign purchasing orders
- Perform contract and claim management
- Follow supplier performance, anticipate, and react
- Check delivery and payment
- Settle supplier claims
- Participate in project REX
- Perform supplier evaluation
