Distribution Center Manager

We are looking for a reliable and self-motivated Distribution Center Manager to join our Marne team.

The Distribution Center Manager will coordinate warehouse activities, oversee inventory control, and manage other day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the distribution center in compliance with the company’s policies and vision.
• Oversee department supervisors to ensure the accurate loading of customer deliveries and the unloading of shipments to the distribution center.
• Lead, motivate and manage a team of warehouse supervisors, warehouse employees and delivery drivers.
• Maintain an organized warehouse for efficiency.
• Work closely with the inventory team to ensure sufficient product levels while minimizing excess inventory.
• Implement best practices for inventory storage to prevent damage to product and optimize space.
• Work to improve customer satisfaction be enhancing order accuracy and delivery speed.
• Create training plans for new employees, monitoring continued performance.
• Interview candidates for open positions, working closely with the HR Manager to assist in the onboarding process.
• Lead employee meetings with staff to identify and address issues, as well as communicate any relevant company messages and changes.
• Communicate effectively with leadership regarding operational performance, challenges and opportunities.
• Evaluate warehouse processes and workflows regularly and implement strategies for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Promote and enforce safe working practices, ensuring that the warehouse is free from hazards.
• Fill in as needed for deliveries.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least two years of warehouse or distribution experience.
• At least three years in a management role is required.
• Experience with managing multiple departments is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Excellent leadership skills to effectively manage a team.
• Proficient in the Google Workspace, with a willingness to learn other required software.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

Experience:

• Supervisory: 3 years (Preferred)
• Warehouse distribution: 2 years (Preferred)
