We are looking for an Inventory Control Specialist who will be responsible for the tracking of ingoing and outgoing daily inventory while maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities
- Utilize inventory management systems to monitor and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels.
- Perform regular cycle counts and conduct rotating audits of various inventory sections to verify stock accuracy.
- Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies, determine root causes, and reconcile variances to maintain data integrity.
- Daily reconciliation of inventory differences between Maddenco and RT Systems.
- Maintain and update the inventory shortage tracker for the Marne location.
- Manage and organize inventory locations and zones within the inventory management system.
- Collaborate with the purchasing department to coordinate timely ordering and restocking of materials and supplies.
- Generate, compile, and analyze inventory reports for internal use and decision-making.
- Lead and execute periodic physical inventory audits to ensure overall accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with departments across all levels to verify inventory records and ensure adequate storage capacity.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to support efficient inventory replenishment and issue resolution.
- Operate a forklift when necessary to assist in inventory movement and organization.
- Travel as needed to all Schneider Tire locations to support inventory operations and audits.
Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge of company products and inventory.
- Working knowledge of inventory control principles and best practices.
- Accurate and confident with basic mathematical calculations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace tools.
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experienced in managing and interpreting inventory data and generating reports.
- Highly detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift, push, and pull items up to 50 pounds regularly.
