Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled lead expediter who wants to join a great team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for prepping your station and calling orders plating in a quick manner. This position requires a strong understanding of food service and meal preparation. Menu for breakfast and lunch is country cooking with a twist using the freshest ingredients from the garden. Ensuring that all ingredients are prepped to perfection for our kitchen staff. This position requires the ability to work efficiently with others, in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare and chop vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients according to recipes and specifications and be ready for the start of the day
- You will be responsible for calling orders, plating breakfast and lunch working and communicating with lead cook.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Work together with your team to break down and clean at the end of each work day.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, and food processors, fryers, griddles safely and effectively.
- You may need to be asked to Support the catering team during events by preparing large quantities of food as needed.
Skills
- Proficient in food preparation techniques with experience in the food industry.
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of various cooking methods..
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude in the kitchen!
- Previous experience in being a line cook and meal preparation
