What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at SCHNITZER INVESTMENT CORP?
Multi Family Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of multiple residential community buildings. This includes but, not limited to common areas such as hallways, laundry facilities, bathrooms, leasing offices and shops. Housekeeper will also have responsibilities of cleaning vacant apartments to prepare for leasing showings or new resident move ins.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TASKS:
- Schedules and performs daily cleaning routine on all of building’s common areas as directed by Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager.
- Common area duties include mopping and vacuuming floors, cleaning, and disinfecting surfaces, emptying trash and recycling bins, cleaning glass doors and windows.
- Vacant apartments will also include cleaning appliances, inside of cabinets and placement of new resident move in gifts.
- Maintain company equipment and tools used on site.
- Control and monitor inventory while communicating with Maintenance Supervisor on restocking items.
- Drive to property locations and supply houses as needed.
- Light grounds maintenance consisting of general curb appeal and cleanliness of exterior of properties including walks, patios, walls, garbage enclosures, etc…
- Work in a professional manner with current tenants’ facility teams if necessary.
- Adhere to all safety policies and use of personal safety equipment.
- Administrative duties including organized system for invoices and paperwork processing.
- Meet with vendors and assist as necessary.
- Provide exceptional customer service daily.
- Always represent Harsch Investment in a positive and professional manner.
- All other duties as assigned.
Experience, training, skills required:
- Experience in maintenance/janitorial work
- Knowledge of usages, applications, and safety guidelines for all cleaning products used.
- Utilize good customer service skills when assisting co-workers, tenant’s inquiries, vendors and others.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Organized and ability to carry out assignments to completion.
- Positive attitude. Dependable, reliable, cooperative
- Team player with strong work ethic and pride in work.
Education:
- No formal education required

- Drive to property locations as assigned.
