Qualifications :
The Executive Director should possess a Bachelor’s degree and / or any combination of experience and / or education, a broad and varied background in affordable housing and community development, with extensive knowledge and / or demonstrated capability to manage a multi-service organization. The applicant should have demonstrated the ability to :
Conceive, plan, and execute programs to meet the housing needs of the low and moderate-income people of the County.
Speak publicly and effectively to solicit the community support necessary to achieve the goals of the SCRPC.
Hire and direct staff to obtain the specific objectives of the SCRPC.
Serve as the chief administrative officer for the organization in all personnel, fiscal, and programmatic matters.
Duties :
The Executive Director is responsible to the Board of Directors of the SCRPC Corporation for the planning and management of Schoharie County Rural Preservation Company within the law and intent of the New York State Homes and Community Renewal.
The Executive Director is responsible for the oversight and implementation of housing programs with the goals of providing safe, affordable housing for low-moderate income residents of the SCRPC area.
The Executive Director is responsible for the oversight and management of all housing units owned and / or managed by the organization that assist the low-moderate income residents of much of Schoharie County. This includes, but is not limited to, supervising on-site staff in the management and maintenance of these properties, completing reports, budgets, and other written documents associated with the projects; overseeing income and expenses to ensure the financial health of the projects.
The Executive Director is responsible for the development of various funding applications required to obtain resources necessary for the operation of SCRPC programs. The Executive Director will supervise consultant and organizational personnel in the development of these proposals and applications.
The Executive Director is responsible for the recruitment, hiring, and supervision of personnel employed by the organization.
The Executive Director is responsible for the oversight of the fiscal condition, operations, record-keeping, expenditures, and reports of all funds secured by the organization.
The Executive Director represents the organization to funding sources, the media, other organizations, businesses, clients, and the public at large, contracts leases, and other agreements.
Benefit Package :
Annual Salary range is $75,000 to $85,000 depending on experience. This is an exempt position.
