Production Assembler

Company Overview

Schonbek, a premium lighting brand and a member of WAC Lighting is looking for a 1st shift, 6:30-3:00 pm Monday - Friday. This position will produce quality fixtures and parts free from defects using available information and documentation to meet the production schedule in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions, equipment, and work systems for self and all employees, and participate in training as needed.
• Unrack parts in preparation for assembly.
• Must read and comprehend blueprints, routings, pick lists, bills of materials, and other pre-established guidelines to perform functions of the job.
• Assemble parts by use of appropriate hand and air tools, documentation, and equipment.
• Ensure proper wiring and testing procedures by adhering to all outside certifying agency (UL, VDE, etc…) requirements.
• Ensure a quality product by identifying issues with finish and manufactured and purchased parts.
• Obtain necessary information and daily work schedule by referencing the computer system and scanners.
• May assemble trim, finials, sockets, accessory bags, and hanger packs to meet product requirements. May also cut wire and perform other pre-assembly activities.
• May pack product for delivery to a customer free of damage by following packing procedures.
• May order point of use inventory and restock shelves as needed.
• Participate in inventory activities including cycle counting.
• Ensure an organized, clean, and safe workspace by understanding and applying the use of the 6S guidelines.
• May be assigned to other areas within the organization as the need arises.
• Ability to meet performance expectations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equilivancy Preferred
• Prior Manufacturing Experience a Plus
• Must be Reliable
• Ability to Provide Prior Supervisory References

The expected hourly rate is $18-$20 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based upon experience and other factors.
