What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Teacher - 2025/2026 School Year position at School Administrative Unit 21?
The Seabrook School District is actively seeking a middle school Special Education Teacher to support the Seabrook students who have been identified with IEP's in Grades 5-8. The focus of this position will be teaching and case-management for students who are on the Autism Spectrum and students who display characteristics that are associated with Autism. The person in the position must be certified as a special education teacher. The position will require (but is not limited to) the following tasks to support students: Direct instruction in academic skills; Behavior Intervention Plan Implementation; work collaboratively with all service providers to ensure carryover and generalization of academic, social, and behavorial skills; collect and maintain accurate data; writing IEP's; progress monitoring; completed standardized evaluations; etc. The Special Education Teacher will serve under the supervision of the Special Services Director.
