- Knowledge and use of digital tools, technology applications and other resources to facilitate experiences that advance student learning, creativity and innovation in both in-person and virtual environments.
- Collaborate with other educators within the school and district to use digital and other resources to actively engage students in inquiry and investigation, collaboration, problem solving, innovation, research, content creation and production.
- Collaborate with other educators within the school and district to incorporate contemporary digital tools and resources to maximize content learning within context.
- Collaborate with other educators to design, implement, and assess curriculum that integrates multimedia, research, and information literacy into regular education programs.
- Model and support all educators in the use of digital tools, technology applications and other resources to enhance classroom practice.
Model and support all educators in the use of adaptive technologies and other resources to personalize and differentiate learning activities for every student and provide full access to curriculum for all learners. - Setup and manage the digital portfolio process as required by state standards.
- Manage and integrate all available and emerging digital tools within the school community and coordinate use of digital tools, media areas and common spaces.
- Help select current, relevant, and balanced resources for the diverse needs of the school and district that support the curriculum.
- Provide instruction in and promote the use of digital tools for teaching, collaboration with students, parents, peers, and community members.
- Provide instruction, model, and monitor safe, ethical, and legal practices regarding the use of digital tools and social media.
- Observe the use of digital tools, technology applications and other resources within the school and provide support to educators with technology.
- Participate in meetings as scheduled with fellow digital learning specialists and technology director.
- Participate in developing policies, procedures and budgets concerning digital resources and tools.
- Maintain school website, while ensuring content is ADA compliant.
- Additional duties as assigned to include but not limited to rostering staff and students for digital programs.
- Reports to building administration
