Director of Information Technology

Description: SAU #53 is seeking a full time IT Director. This is an SAU-based position and will require working collaboratively with the five districts that make up SAU #53: Allenstown, Chichester, Deerfield, Epsom, and Pembroke. The ideal candidate will have experience with IT in the public school setting. This is an administrative position that will have supervisory duties. The main location of this position is in the town of Pembroke and does require travel between the five towns. This position is for the 2025-2026 school year and beyond.

Job Summary: This position, under the general supervision of the Superintendents, is to oversee and administer the functions and operations of the SAU’s Information Technology Systems. This position oversees technology activities, integrates technology into SAU and District functions and education, assesses the effectiveness of the school district's technology infrastructure and security, provides recommendations regarding potential hardware and software upgrades, purchases, and maintains the proper functioning of all SAU computer systems.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate would have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or a related field; with a Master’s Degree preferred. Demonstrated expertise in the use of technology to support instruction, formal training in the use and implementation of IT in a school setting, and experience training others in the use of technology are all desired experiences for this role.
