The Richmond Middle School (RMS) in Hanover, NH seeks a full time 504 Coordinator/Instructional Specialist for the 2025-2026 school year. This position will support student learning through implementation and monitoring of 504 accommodations while undertaking direct instruction of executive functioning/study skills to students. In addition, the position will work closely with the pupil services team and academic teachers to offer interventions for students who are identified as having learning issues. Ideal candidates should demonstrate energy, adaptability, the ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues, as well as maintain accurate records of learning advances. This position is governed by theHEA Union Agreement.
Salary range for this position is $54,456 to $111,981,depending on education and experience.

POSITION TITLE: 504 COORDINATOR

General Purpose:
The 504 Coordinator oversees 504 plan development, handles the yearly review and amendments to existing plans, assists with 504 transitions, distributes 504 plans, assists with student and staff support, and handles all 504 record keeping.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Except as specifically noted, the following functions are considered essential to this position:
- Responsible for 504 plan development including; reviewing 504 referrals; gathering student data, gathering progress updates from staff.
- Facilitate communications with interested parties in order to inform drafting, updating and revising 504 plans.
- Draft & Distribute finalized 504 plans to all appropriate staff.
- Conduct 504 Plan yearly reviews and amendments.
- Convene and facilitate meetings with parents, teachers, Counselors, related service providers and students.
- Handle all 504 Transitions: coordinate 504 in-take process and exit process.
- Provide 504 Student Support through regular student meetings. Provide problem solving/coaching to students who are having difficulty accessing accommodations, mediate conversations with students and teachers when there are questions about access to accommodations.
- Oversees study program, offering support/guidance to staff in the area of executive functioning, learning methods, and best study practice.
- Provide 504 Staff Support. through regular teacher meetings. Provide problem solving/coaching to teacher who are having difficulty meeting accommodations, mediate conversations with students and teachers when there are questions about accommodations.
- Assist teachers/departments to facilitate accommodations that may need to happen outside of the classroom; provide training, in conjunction with counseling and Special Ed, as necessary to educate staff about disabilities and accommodations.
- Responsible for ensuring that 504 Record Keeping is maintained according to Federal and State laws.
- Assist with SAT and ACT disability application process.
- Host Disability Support Services in College workshop for families.
- Attend weekly Pupil Services Team meeting
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Must comply with all SAU 70 District policy and building / department rules, procedures, practices and objectives.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree
- Two to Four (2-4) years of relevant experience
