THE SCHOOL BOARD OF HIGHLANDS COUNTY

POSITION TITLE : Clerk 4

ASSIGNMENT : Clerk 4 - MIS : Instructional Technology

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Four (4) years experience in a clerical, secretarial or administrative assistant position
  • Physical Requirements : Ability to perform essential functions and tasks which may include exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and / or 10 pounds of force as frequently as necessary; lifting, crawling, kneeling, bending, stooping, pulling, and pushing, if required.
  • Satisfactory clearance of a criminal history records check and drug screening

ADDITIONAL DESIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Knowledge of various software, including Microsoft office applications
  • Ability to work cooperatively with schools, departments, and administration to achieve district goals
  • Ability to problem solve and retain details over a period of time
  • PRIMARY PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Clerical Support for MIS department. Ensures necessary forms are completed in a timely fashion (leave forms, travel forms, etc.) Maintain various calendars (travel, leave, etc.)
  • Assist with district records retention. Assist with scanning school records and assist with public records requests.
  • Provides support for online testing.
  • Assists with various survey creation, deployment and result dissemination.
  • Assists with management of instructional software database
  • Assists with management of textbook database
  • Assists with evaluation system.
  • Maintain emergency plans. Facilitate server room inspections and maintain server room inventory
  • Maintain equipment inventory and equipment use forms
  • Maintains accurate records in asset management, inventory control and special hardware for Director and DITRT's
  • Set up and maintain a regular filing system and process incoming correspondence as instructed
  • Perform any bookkeeping and other job-related tasks associated with the specific position
  • Answer phone and route calls accordingly; take telephone messages
  • Sort and distribute mail
  • Schedules professional development rooms on campus as needed
  • Assist all MIS staff as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • ADDITIONAL DUTIES :

    All other duties as assigned by supervising manager and / or administrator

    TERM :

    Length of contract and number of hours worked are determined by specific allocation as approved annually during planning-budgeting process

    APPRAISAL :

    Performance will be appraised annually by the Director of Human Resources in accordance with School Board policies

    PAYGRADE :

    According to the School Board of Highlands County Non-instructional Salary Schedule
