CTE Multimedia and Digital Design Teacher - High School

Riverdale Ridge High School, a 27J School in Brighton, CO, is seeking a Multimedia and Digital Design teacher to provide instruction in Audio/Video Production, Graphic Design, and/or Photography.

Career and Technical Education, also referred to as STEM/CTE in 27J Schools, is a sequence of courses that integrates core academic knowledge with technical and occupational experience to provide students with a pathway to post-secondary education and careers. STEM/CTE programs deliver an enriched educational experience that promotes student interest and academic success while developing technical and career readiness skills necessary for the workplace of the future.

Required Qualifications

• A valid Colorado Department of Education teaching license, with any one (1) of these CTE Authorizations : Secondary CTE Audio/Video/Film Technology Secondary CTE Journalism And Broadcasting Secondary CTE Media Arts
• Preference given for experience in the media industry.
• Bilingual literacy in Spanish is preferred.
• The ability to handle many complex tasks simultaneously.
• The ability and interest to be part of a high-functioning team. (Having respected and trusted colleagues, preferably as teammates, makes the demands of teaching sustainable.)
• The ability and interest to learn continuously and to adapt to changing circumstances (student characteristics, curriculum, and so on).
• A belief in empowering all children as owners of their learning.
