9th Grade Science (Biology & Principles of Biomedical Sciences)
Position: Prairie View High School, located in Henderson, Colorado, is seeking a 9th grade biology and Principles of Biomedical Sciences teacher to inspire student love and ownership of learning through our 9th Grade Success Team. The desired candidate is collaborative and employs a growth mindset. The selected candidate will need to complete the Project Lead the Way training and apply for CTE endorsement upon completion. Once training is complete and endorsement is accepted, the selected candidate will receive a stipend.
The mission of the PVHS 9th Grade Success Team is to create a community of support and accountability by providing a safe learning environment with scaffolded transitions for incoming ninth graders. We create a sense of belonging through structure for the development of students, in partnership with staff and families, to become critical-thinking global citizens. As stated above, this position will require additional training.

School Information
Required Qualifications:
- A valid Colorado Department of Education Teaching License.
- Colorado Department of Education “In Field” by CDE endorsement or qualifications to teach the posted subject area.
- The ability to handle many complex tasks simultaneously.
- The ability and interest to be part of a high-functioning team. (Having respected and trusted colleagues, preferably as teammates, makes the demands of teaching sustainable.)
- The ability and interest to learn continuously and to adapt to changing circumstances (student characteristics, curriculum, and so on).
