Middle School Teacher - 6th Grade Math

Quist Middle School is seeking a dedicated 6th grade Math teacher to inspire students and foster a love for learning. This full-time (1.0 FTE) position at Quist Middle School aims to empower students to take ownership of their education and to succeed academically.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned math lessons.
• Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners.
• Foster a structured, positive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Use assessments to monitor progress and adjust instruction.
• Implement cooperative learning strategies and best practices.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support student success.
• Utilize technology to enhance learning.
• Participate in professional development and school initiatives.
• Uphold high academic and behavioral expectations.
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• A valid Colorado Department of Education Teaching License.
• Colorado Department of Education “In Field” by CDE endorsement or qualifications to teach the posted subject area.
• The ability to handle many complex tasks simultaneously.
• The ability and interest to be part of a high-functioning team. (Having respected and trusted colleagues, preferably as teammates, makes the demands of teaching sustainable.)
• The ability and interest to learn continuously and to adapt to changing circumstances (student characteristics, curriculum, and so on).
