- BA/BS from accredited college or university
- Valid Colorado teaching license endorsed in area of assignment: Secondary Science OR
- a valid CO licensed endorsed in another area AND passing exam scores on the PRAXIS II - exam #10435 or 5435 only OR
- a valid CO license endorsed in another area and 24 or more semester hours in Science - HR to review transcripts and make determination OR
- a valid CO license endorsed in another area and a BA/BS or higher major in Science - HR to review transcripts and make determination
