Part-Time Custodian
Location: Elmbrook Schools District Offices
Salary: $14.00 - $15.75 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Locations: Wisconsin Hills Middle School: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday-Friday
- District-wide elementary, middle school, and high school locations available beginning at 4:00 p.m. Hours are flexible!

Job Purpose
The Custodian is responsible for cleaning and maintaining all interior and exterior school property and serves as a representative of the District to the community, students, parents, and the general public while activities are occurring within the building.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities

- Clean and maintain all floor, window and door surfaces to include wiping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, shampooing, stripping and refinishing etc.
- Empty and clean all waste containers in accordance with recycling plans directed in the building.
- Clean, disinfect and maintain classroom surfaces, bathroom facilities, water fountains and locker room facilities to include restocking of supplies as directed.
- Clean and disinfect cafeteria and kitchen floors and surfaces including cafeteria set up.
- Secure building access points, check gas fixtures in labs, follow energy conservation measures, lock building entrances and initiate the building security system.
- Unload, transport and move deliveries, supplies, furniture and equipment throughout building.
- Perform interior and exterior building activity and athletic setups, teardowns and preparations as directed.
- Follow safety procedures as required by the building, District policies and procedures and federal and state laws.
- All other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee frequently works in high, precarious places and in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet, cold, and extreme heat.

Education and experience
