Description:
Knowledge of the school system and the community. Knowledge of school district procedures
and programs. Knowledge of district finance and budget procedures. Thorough knowledge of
grammar and spelling. Ability to organize and establish priorities. Ability to communicate
effectively with administrators, school board members, district staff and the public. Ability to
maintain confidentiality. Ability to use computer applications including word processing,
spreadsheets and databases proficiently. Ability to use various office equipment. Ability to
make decisions recognizing established procedures and practices, and to handle routine
administrative details independently. Ability to understand and follow complex oral and written
instructions, including the composition of letters and memoranda. Ability to proofread and edit.
Job Summary:
To assist the Administrator with conducting the administrative operations of the
division through positive public relations, a high level of efficiency and knowledge of
office practices, procedures and modern technology.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Advanced secretarial or office management training.
3. Postsecondary training, college credit or Associate degree preferred.
4. Five (5) years experience in an advanced secretarial or paraprofessional position.
5. Three (3) years employment in the school district preferred.
6. Experience in the operation, function and scope of school and departmental offices
preferred.
7. Experience in modern office practices, procedures and applications.
8. Competency in language and mathematics, as measured on a screening test with a
minimum score of 80%.
9. Typing proficiency of 50 words per minute.
10. Computer proficiency.
11. Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening.

Salary Information: Confidential Managerial. Pay Grade F. Two hundred fifty days worked per year (12 motnhs). FLSA Exempt.
