Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
Two (2) years of experience in commercial or institutional food service operations.
Two (2) years of experience in computer network operations.
Experience managing business / department functions and staff.
Valid ServSafe Certification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Master's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
Four (4) years of experience in commercial or institutional food service operations.
Four (4) years of experience in computer network operations.
Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy minimum qualifications.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
Clear and concise oral and written communication skills; organizational and management skills; interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of pertinent regulations, policies, and procedures for the functional area of assignment.
Knowledge of HIPAA, Public Records, Sunshine Law, FERPA, and other laws / regulations related to student and employee privacy, public information, and records retention.
Knowledge of and experience with industry-standard equipment, materials, practices, computers, and applications.
Ability to work with and lead diverse groups of people.
Ability to professionally and effectively respond to customer needs and requests for service or assistance.

Responsibilities
Assist in the operation and activities of the department.
Assist the Director in planning, budgeting, and accounting.
Provide technical assistance to departmental managers and staff.
Assist food service managers with improvements in their programs.
Coordinate and interface with other agencies which impact the food and nutrition program.
Train food service managers and staff in the use of technology in the school food service program.
Implement technology in school food service programs.
Develop and update technology manuals for food service use in schools.
Prepare, order, and maintain technology equipment used in schools.
Process service and financial information from schools for program and financial accountability.
Troubleshoot technology problems in the school food service program at school sites.
Assist in the evaluation and long-range planning of the food service program.
Assist in maintaining the department's role as a service function to schools.
