Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Teacher to join our Summer School staff for our summer school mathematics credit recovery session. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching mathematics at all levels of high school. This role requires an individual who is committed to fostering a positive learning environment and engaging students through innovative lesson planning and effective classroom management.
Duties
- Develop and implement plans that align with curriculum and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Teach subjects including Algebra, Geometry, Math, and higher level mathematics.
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth.
- Maintain open communication with students, and administration regarding student performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education
- Experience working with high school students in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of planning techniques.
- Familiarity with high school level math at all grade levels.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students.
- Ability to create a supportive classroom atmosphere that promotes student learning and well-being.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
