What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Assistant Football Coach position at School District of Omro?
The School District of Omro is seeking 2 dedicated Assistant Football Coaches to join our dynamic athletic department. As an Assistant Football Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting the head coach in developing and implementing effective strategies to enhance the skills and performance of our student-athletes.
Will need to have CPR/First Aid Training, Concussion Training, and other required trainings needed for public school districts.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the head coach in planning and conducting engaging football practices.
- Provide individualized coaching to players to improve their techniques and overall performance.
- Support the head coach in analyzing game footage and developing game plans.
- Mentor student-athletes on sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline both on and off the field.
- Collaborate with other coaching staff to ensure a cohesive and successful football program.
- Attend all team meetings, practices, games, and other required events as scheduled.
Skills:
- Experience working with students in a coaching capacity.
- Knowledge of sports coaching principles and techniques.
- Ability to educate and motivate student-athletes effectively.
- Strong background in physical education or related fields.
- Familiarity with football strategies, rules, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
