What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aquatic Director position at School District of Phillips?
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, coordinate, and implement swim instruction programs for various age groups and skill levels.
- Ensure the highest safety standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Oversee the maintenance of the aquatic facilities, including pool cleanliness, equipment functionality, and compliance with standards.
- Lead, train, and supervise aquatic staff, including lifeguards and swim instructors.
- Promote wellness through innovative programs and activities tailored to the community's needs.
- Schedule and oversee pool usage, ensuring optimal facility utilization.
- Maintain accurate records of staff certifications, incident reports, and facility inspections.
- Develop and manage the aquatics budget.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in recreation, physical education, or a related field or experience.
- Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications or willingness to obtain.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification is required or is willing to be obtained.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience in aquatics programming and facility management.
- Knowledge of applicable health and safety regulations.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
