Custodian

Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a full-time custodian at Milton Avenue School. The custodian will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment within the school building.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies as needed
• Collect and dispose of trash and recycling
• Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
• Set up and break down tables and chairs for events and meetings
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed
• Ensure all areas of the building are secure and locked at the end of the day
• Assist with snow removal and other seasonal tasks as needed
  
  

Requirements

• Experience as a school custodian, preferred
• Black Seal or ability to obtain required
• Prior experience in custodial or housekeeping work preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting and bending
• Must be able to push, pull, lift boxes and furniture
• Availability to work early morning or evening shifts as needed
• Ability to pass a background check
