The School District of Washington is currently seeking computer technology interns for temporary summer work. This is a non-benefit eligible position for the months of June and July. The pay is $12.00 per hour with and expected range of 30 to 40 hours per week depending on availability. Regular and reliable attendance is essential to the scope of this position.

POSITION SUMMARY (Primary purpose of job)
Computer Technology Interns are responsible for equipment operations related to preparing devices for deployement or redeployment in the fall. Expencted activities may include inventory activities, device preperation, and minor repair under the direction of the District Technololgy Department.
SPHERE AND SCOPE OF INFLUENCE (Supervisory scope, district impact and budgetary responsibility)
Computer Technology Interns will assist Technicians responsible for a large amount of District technology inventory including software, equipment, and fiber maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES (Major duties which the position exists to perform)
- Assist with deploying, evaluating, diagnosing, and performing maintenance on District technology equipment as directed.
- Assist with operating various computer equipment, software, and peripheral devices such as printers, phone systems, surveillance systems, etc. to address issues.
- Actively engage as a member of team in order to complete the technology demands.
- Participate in a help-desk system in order to efficiently operate and manage District technology needs and activities.
- Regular and reliable attendance as it relates to the scope of the position.
OTHER DUTIES (duties which the incumbent can be expected to perform)
- Additional duties may include extended hours or hours outside of typical business hours related to a special project, need, or high volume time.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS (Minimum educational requirements, licenses, skills and experience required as well as preferred options)
Experience with computer operations.

PHYSICAL RELATED REQUIREMENTS
The candidate should be able to move in and around the classroom, building, District buildings, and campus locations. The candidate may be required to lift up to 50lbs. and maintain consistent attendance in accordance with the attendance policy unless otherwise required by law. General functioning such as the ability to maintain confidentiality, communicate clearly both orally and in writing, utilize District resources including District issued technology and meeting multiple demands from people while interacting with students, staff, and the public are required to fulfill the essential job duties.
