What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Armed School Church Security Officer position at School Facility Management?
Serva Security is looking to hire experienced security professionals for Part-Time work in a church environment. We work best with hard-working, service-oriented team players who have lady and gentlemanly manners but also have tactical skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting security patrols and monitoring premises to prevent and respond to security incidents.
- When faced with a threat, be capable of choosing the appropriate and legal level of force necessary to preserve the life and safety of the parishioners, up to and including the use of deadly force.
- Ensure campus security by patrolling the building(s), parking lots, and athletic fields, as well as inspecting buildings and access points
- Stand and provide overwatch during the church service.
- Maintain a positive and courteous demeanor, and communicate with others in a professional and respectful manner
- Formally log all observations, occurrences, and surveillance activities in a timely and accurate manner.
Days and Hours:
- Sundays, 0800 to 1230 hrs.
- Opportunities to work fill-in hours during the week
Minimum Standards:
- Current Tennessee Armed Officer License.
- Pass Serva’s Physical Fitness Test.
- Demonstrable Firearms Skill and Training.
- Willing to put yourself in harm’s way for others.
- Willing and able to work in a Smoke-Free environment.
- Comply with eligibility to work in the United States via a Federal E-Verify check.
Preferred Candidate Qualities:
- Four years or more of law enforcement experience.
- Four years or more of military experience.
- Completed an approved TN Active Shooter course.
- First Aid, CPR, AED trained.
Physical Fitness Standards:
- 50 push-ups, 50 sit-ups, and 50 bodyweight squats in less than 10 minutes.
- Able to work indoors and outdoors with long periods of movement and standing.
- Able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Safely carry a firearm and other required security items.
Compensation:
$32 per hour

N/A. Eligibility for benefits requires working a minimum of 30 hours per week consistently for two consecutive months.
