Description
SUMMARY
Reports directly to the Director and Assistant Directors of Residential Services. Conduct observation, on-going training and feedback to the morning supervisors and direct support staff. Works in conjunction with the morning supervisor during particularly during change of shift to ensure a smooth transition, especially when school is in session. Notify the Director of Staffing for needed coverage, call outs, and seek approval for staff to work additional hours. Adhere to OPWDD regulations, Core Competencies, Code of Ethics and agency policies.
Starting hourly rate is $19.15. Shift is from 8 : 00pm - 8 : 00am.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Obtain report from evening / outgoing supervisor for updates related to individuals who are hospitalized, coverage, bedroom re-assignment and incident notification.
- Review staff assignments and conduct headcount of individuals and assigned staff who are on duty.
- Reinforce and adhere to night schedule which outlines required duties of the Direct Support Staff. Ensure staff complies to the bathing protocol of all students
- Conduct frequent walk through within the facility to ensure adequate supervision levels are maintained at all times, adaptive equipment are identified and applied when needed and privacy for all individuals are upheld.
- Ensure staff provide the required level of supervision for individuals with seizure disorder. .
- Provide oversight of PICA sweep forms, at specified times and as needed to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Review and complete bi-weekly staff assignments and ensure adequate staffing has been identified in advance.
- Monitor lateness and excessive absenteeism, issued discussion report if warranted.
- Supervise dining room to ensure staff adhere to the individual's dietary guidelines and food consistency as outlined, in addition to promoting food choices and independence.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the individuals is maintained at all times.
- Supervision of direct support staff; provide oversight and guidance to all DSP's as it relates to data collection, active treatment, documentation, and compliance with agency policy and procedures.
- Accessing email, Precision Care, review staff assignments, etc.
- Assist in completing 90-day evaluations and performance appraisal for staff. Participates in the monthly staff meetings.
