What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Lecturer, Building Science position at School of Architecture?
The USC School of Architecture invites applicants for a part-time faculty position in Building Science for Spring 2025. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to teach graduate-level, technical seminar courses on sustainable, high-performance building design and analysis incorporating passive and active environmental control systems.
Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of measurable carbon reduction and sustainability performance objectives as well as the ability to apply appropriate quantitative analysis techniques, (including appropriate software-based analysis tools) in the context of the architectural design process. Experience with climate/site analysis, building energy modeling and building performance simulation using IESVE and/or Ladybug Tools is preferred.

The core salary range for this position is $48.00 - $66.41 per hour. This is a part-time, 37.5% position. Qualifications: A Master of Building Science degree, Master of Architecture degree or equivalent is required. Preference is given to candidates with a proven track record of research and/or related professional work or prior teaching experience at recognized schools of architecture.
