Job Summary:

The Department of Kinesiology, in the School of Education is seeking a 9-month full-time Field Experience Coordinator to help support our Undergraduate majors in the Department of Kinesiology. The successful candidate will be able to serve as a supervisor and facilitator of field experiences for Kinesiology-related courses across our programs. The responsibilities include organizing the day-to-day tasks associated with a practicum or community-based learning experience, supporting training for peer-led student groups, and managing first aid/CPR training. This position will also assist as part of the Departmental undergraduate advising team, which includes co-leading group advising sessions and holding individual appointments for students in any of the majors to cover class options and explore careers in health. This positions also serves the general administration of the Undergraduate Program. Responsibilities: Leads the development, implementation, and ongoing operations of one or more academic programs to ensure effectiveness in meeting strategic, departmental, and student development goals. May manage the program budget and outreach activities and supervise program staff. Strives to create a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive work environment.

  • 10% Leads the development and implementation of academic program initiatives
  • 25% Serves as the liaison to internal and external stakeholder groups to identify and maintain academic program-related partnerships
  • 5% Identifies, proposes, and implements new or revised unit operational policies and procedures to comply with regulations, institutional policies, and academic program objectives
  • 5% Evaluates existing academic program strategy and makes recommendations to unit leadership for program enhancement
  • 5% Assists stakeholders with preparing and/or maintaining documentation, financial management, and/or reporting requirements related to sponsored grants, contracts, or agreements
  • 30% Provides full service advising resources and services, provides information about educational options and academic requirements, and communicates directly with students regarding all aspects of the advising process
  • 10% Manages degree programs and/or certificates, high impact practice programming and events, and curriculum development and implementation
  • 10% Assist in general administration of the Undergraduate Program, including events, enrollment and space management,

Education:

Required

Master's Degree in Kinesiology, Education, or related Fields

Qualifications:

Required:

Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to problem-solve, multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

Strong communication skills with the ability to work with students, campus, and community stakeholders.

Preferred:

Advising and/or career-consulting experience

Instructional experience

Work Type:

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.
