School Nurse Job Description
S.E.A.L. is a private thereapeutic Special Education program looking for an additional School Nurse (looking for either an LPN, CNA, or RN with the PEL-CSN endorsement.) The nurse's goal is to treat student injuries or illnesses and advise students, their parents or guardians, and staff on both mental and physical health issues. The nurse would be joining a team of nursing professionals across SEAL's 3 campues.
Apart from injuries and sudden ailments, school nurses may also support students with chronic illnesses and disabilities – for example, by administering medication (e.g. insulin injections). School nurses also promote health-related habits (e.g. proper hand-washing) and ensure compliance with national and local health policies for schools.
