We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Spanish Teacher to join our team. As a Spanish | Lower Elementary Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students, helping them develop their language skills, and fostering a love for the Spanish language and culture.
Duties
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and promote student learning
- Teach Spanish language skills, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing
- Utilize learning technology and educational resources to enhance instruction
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement
- Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop instructional materials and share best practices
- Provide individualized support to students who may require additional assistance
- Foster cultural awareness and appreciation through the exploration of Hispanic traditions, literature, and history
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Preferred: Valid teaching certification or license in Spanish or Foreign Language Education You will get $2000 more when you hold certification.
- Proven experience teaching Spanish at the elementary or secondary level
- Knowledge of early intervention strategies for language development
- Familiarity with learning technology and its integration into the classroom
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Spanish
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and promote positive behavior
- Experience in literacy education and promoting reading proficiency in Spanish
