Holy Child seeks an experienced religious studies teacher to teach five sections of the 11th grade course Christian Theology and World Religions. This position will begin on August 25, 2025 and go through, approximately, December 19th. Ideal candidates are passionate educators who value interdisciplinary teaching and creative learning experiences. A Holy Child teacher will have the resources of a supportive department and an established curriculum.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Teach five sections of upper school religious studies classes
- Work with individual and small groups of students as needed
- Collaborate with the religious studies department and humanities colleagues to design/map curriculum, create interdisciplinary opportunities for learning, share resources, and evaluate effective methods of teaching; participate in regular meetings with the Department Chair
- Work with the Learning Center to support students with learning differences
- Show a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion work
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with every member of the community: students, families, and colleagues alike
- Attend and participate in parent conferences and school events
- Communicate regularly and effectively with Division Deans and the Academic Dean about student progress
- Participate in grade-level and school-wide meetings as needed
- Engage with new technologies and methodologies for teaching and assessing
- Possibly work with students in Grades 5-12 through clubs/teams or advisory

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in theology preferred
- 1-3 years Upper School Teaching experience preferred
- Experience teaching similar religious studies content is required
- Experience with advising middle and high school students is preferred
- Passionate and knowledgeable about progressive education, problem-based teaching, and learning and differentiation
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- A good sense of humor and collegial spirit
