Holy Child seeks an experienced middle school math teacher. We are seeking a dynamic and innovative teacher for grades 5-8. This multi-grade position may include courses in fifth grade math through eighth grade algebra. The successful candidate must also possess strong instructional, organizational, and communication skills; ideally, have a minimum of three years classroom teaching experience; and be highly motivated and passionate about making a difference in students’ lives. Ideal candidates are passionate educators who value interdisciplinary teaching and creative learning experiences. A Holy Child teacher will have the resources of a supportive department and an established curriculum. Holy Child values hands-on, collaborative learning and works to engage the students in a math curriculum that inspires a love for learning and interest in STEAM-based fields

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Teach four sections of middle school math, which may include a combination of courses from grades 5-8; teach middle school math labs that review content and build upon the curriculum for students in grades 5-8
- Work with individual and small groups of students as needed
- Collaborate with the math department and STEM colleagues to design/map curriculum, create interdisciplinary opportunities for learning, share resources, and evaluate effective methods of teaching; participate in regular meetings with the Department Chair
- Work with the Learning Center to support students with learning differences
- Show a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion work
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with every member of the community: students, families, and colleagues alike.
- Attend and participate in parent conferences and school events.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with Division Deans and the Academic Dean about student progress
- Participate in grade-level and school-wide meetings as needed
- Engage with new technologies and methodologies for teaching and assessing
- Possibly work with students in Grades 5-12 through clubs/teams or advisory

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Education required; Master’s degree in Education preferred
- 1-3 years Middle School Teaching experience preferred
- Experience teaching similar math content is required
- Experience with middle school students is preferred
- Passionate and knowledgeable about progressive education, problem-based teaching and learning and differentiation
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- A good sense of humor and collegial spirit
