JOB TITLE : Administrative Assistant- Front Desk
SALARY : $47,840 / year
REPORTS TO : Operations Manager
STATUS : Full-time
SCHEDULE : On-Site, Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm EST
POSITION SUMMARY :
Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Front Desk Administrative Assistant will be the first point of contact for the Office of Financial Aid; and will be responsible for clerical support including managing office communications (telephone, e-mail, and in-person) and addressing questions and concerns of students and families.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Greet and welcome visitors to the Office of Financial Aid.
- Manage front desk operations.
- Provide customer services to students, families and other SVA employees.
- Receive, review, and respond to phone calls and correspondence (including departmental email and voicemail messages)
- Coordinate the flow of student traffic in the office
- Coordinate in-person student appointments
- Provide word processing support for the director, associate director, operations manager, and federal work-study coordinator
- Process incoming and outgoing correspondence for the department
- Data entry in our FAM systems
- File management, record keeping, and document imaging
- Represent the department at special events (Open Houses, Orientation, Accepted Students Day, Workshops, etc.)
- Participate in special projects on an as-need basis, including compiling data and preparing reports
- Act as a liaison to the SVA community and outside vendors
- Other related job duties, as assigned.
