COMPENSATION : Full-time, Exempt Position - $90,000-$110,000
POSITION OVERVIEW :
Under the supervision of the Director, Colleague Computing Services. Systems Administrator / Database Administrator is responsible for providing systems administration of Windows servers, MS-SQL database management, and administration of the Ellucian Colleague ERP and related Ellucian applications. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and skills for administering multiple mission-critical application servers running various operating systems.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Support applications by deploying, configuring, and maintaining different Ellucian applications with a high level of focus on Colleague ERP, Self Service, Colleague API, and Ellucian tenant products : Ethos, Insights, etc.
- Perform technical tasks related to configuration, installation, and maintenance of systems software and hardware products for the department.
- Conduct systems monitoring, develop and implement procedures to optimize performance and ensure systems security.
- Troubleshoot operating system, database, and applications problems, recommending improvements, and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Make recommendations and perform upgrades to systems and applications Systems Administrator / Database Admin Based on changes in usage, release updates, and new technologies.
- Monitor and ensure ERP database data integrity and security.
- Prepare and execute routine activities on the systems including audit and backups.
- Prepare scripts for automation of periodic job scheduling.
- Set up and maintain user accounts and security access controls.
- Provide technical support to end users responding to tickets or help requests quickly and effectively.
- Create and maintain full documentation of all CCS systems, applications, and security configurations.
- Coordinate with other members of the technology team to implement key projects, and integrate enterprise-class applications and security systems across multiple platforms.
- Perform other job-related duties as outlined by the Director.
