What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Manager: Transportation position at School Services?
Responsible for the daily operation and management of the transportation department. Position supervises bus drivers, bus attendants, substitutes, and mentors, as well as administrative staff. Ensure the upkeep of bus routes, route maintenance, driver employment, personnel issues, safety, accident investigation, background checks, DOT testing, driver physicals, and
drug testing. Supervises field/activity trip assignments and related accounting procedures. Will assist in addressing both patron and driver concerns as well as assisting with transportation staff evaluations and transportation budget preparations. Person in this position must carry a current CDL with correct endorsements for school bus operation. Perform other duties as assigned by the district.
