Job Summary
The Legal Assistant is responsible for paralegal and executive assistant support to the General Counsel. This is an in-person position and will require the ability to be physically present at the office location.

Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Paralegal Studies.
- Three (3) or more years of prior experience working in a law firm, clerkship, or government law office.
- Two (2) or more years of prior administrative assistant experience, as well as experience with contract review and legal research.
- Training, coursework, and/or experience in legal issues related to one or more of the principal legal functions of the office.
- Excellent writing, analytical and communication skills with excellent proofreading skills, attention to detail, and thoroughness.
- Must have proficiency with typing, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Adobe and Westlaw (per pre-employment skills assessment).
- Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and the court system.
A writing sample will be required and should be submitted with your application documents. Examples include a memorandum, legal brief, or draft of a legal document such as a contract or pleading. Your writing sample should be no less than 5 pages long.
The successful completion of a pre-interview skills assessment will be required to move forward.

- Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies.
- Experience with litigation support.
- Ability to work effectively across departments and offices, engaging resources in an appropriate manner.
- Proactive and able to work independently, efficiently, and professionally.
- Excellent judgement in working with various constituencies with the ability to exercise discretion and diplomacy at all times.
