Responsibilities:
- Operate transit vehicle on a demand response route, adhering to scheduled times and dispatch directions and in accordance with federal, state, and local rules, regulations, and laws.
-Assisting special needs of customers onto and off transit vehicles. Assisting all disabled passengers as required by SCTA transit policies.
- Maintain daily records as required by SCTA, summaries, trouble and miscellaneous reports.
-Assist in accident and incident reporting as well as customer concerns. Respond to emergency requests for assistance by notification of police, fire or ambulance as needed.
-Responsible for following appropriate schedule; provide reliable, expert service and enforce rules related to safe transit operation in all weather conditions.
-Maintain cleanliness of transit vehicle and facility, including but not limited to: bus washing, mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, and cleaning windows, etc..
-Perform back up Dispatching as needed
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
-Obtain a Chauffeur's License at time of hire
