School Nurse (RN)

We are looking for a talented School Nurse (RN) to join our team for the school year.

We are looking for a School Nurse (RN) to report one to two days a week and take on the following duties: 1 day a week for remainder of year (May 23), state mandated assessments (vision, hearing), create care plan for students with medical needs, and provide/coordinate training for emergency life-saving actions (CPR, Automatic Defibrillators)

Salary Range: $40.00- $45.00

Responsibilities would include:

• Provide health assessments, first aid, and emergency care for students and staff.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician and school guidelines.
• Monitor and manage chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies.
• Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis) and report findings.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators on student health needs.
• Maintain accurate health records in compliance with California Department of Education (CDE) and HIPAA regulations.
• Educate students and staff on health, hygiene, and disease prevention.
• Ensure compliance with state immunization requirements and health policies

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (ADN/BSN) from an accredited program.
• Current California RN Licensure (California Board of Registered Nursing).
• School Nurse Services Credential (required for public schools).
  CPR and First Aid Certification.
